Dreams, Symbols, and Homeopathy will fascinate those interested in homeopathy and psychology alike – including analytical psychologists intrigued by how homeopathy can be integrated with Jungian theory.  Jane Cicchetti shows how C. G. Jung’s concepts of the archetypes, the collective unconscious, the shadow, and the soul’s journey towards individuation can be applied to healing.  She describes how dreams can aid the homeopath, often using her own dreams as example.  Cicchetti describes Jung’s typology of psychological classification, and furnishes a Jungian-style symbolic materia medica of homeopathic remedies.  She brings new focus to unusual remedies from trees, vines, the seven alchemical metals, and milks.

In this satisfying new work, Cicchetti shows how important the unconscious is in bringing the body back to health.

Comments about Dreams, Symbols, and Homeopathy

Jane Cicchetti has made a brilliant integration of homeopathy, Jungian psychotherapy, dream analysis, and alchemical symbolism.  She picks up where Edward C. Whitmont (The Alchemy of Healing) left off.  Her book is eminently useful for homeopaths and others interested in the relationship between the psyche and healing.

V. Walter Odajnyk, Jungian analyst, do-editor of Quadrant: Journal of  the C.G. Jung Foundation for Analytical Psychology

Jane Cicchetti touches the unconscious symbolic world of the reader.  This book enriched not only my conscious awareness of the healing process but also enlivened my unconscious world.  The meaning of even very old dreams that I had previously not understood became clear.

Alize Timmerman, International Teacher of Homeopathy, Director of the Hahnemann Instituut, The Hague.

Jane Cicchetti’s new book is one of the first to bring homeopathy in line with modern psychology and with Jungian psychology in particular.  It brings much clarity to the subjects and helps us to understand their complementary nature.

New Courses  from Jane Tara Cicchetti’s Seminars in  Germany

The Death Mother – Medea and the Halogens

This CD or download is the first available seminar on Jane Cicchetti’s work on mythology and homeopathic materia medica. Utilizing her knowledge of Jungian psychology, Jane Tara brings together known information about homeopathic remedies with motifs that exist in mythology.

The idea that there is a relationship between matter and mythology is not new. In alchemy, myth and matter were seen as mirror reflections and the alchemists felt that myth was the key to understanding the processes through which matter undergoes during transmutation.              From a homeopathic perspective, this can be seen as myth revealing both the dilemma that an individual  experiences, as well as the substance that is similar enough to stimulate the process of transmutation from illness into health.

In this course, you will learn the themes of the little known Halogen remedies, (Iodine, Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine), and how they relate to the myth of Medea, representing the ultimate negative mother complex.

Mandala as the Map of the Psyche

This well-structured day seminar consists of three parts: in the first part, the lecturer introduces Jungian psychoanalysis and archetype teaching and familiarizes us with the basic structures of the soul. The starting point is the most comprehensive symbol for totality : the “mandala” with its various gates and directions, shells and levels, thresholds and inner spaces (“royal palace of the soul”).

“It’s not about perfection, it’s about wholeness. Wholeness contains the opposites, the polarities – everything.”

The second part looks at basic archetypes – shadows, anima, animus and the self and their stages of development. Case studies demonstrate the practical meaning. The third part is about dream work itself, i.e. concrete ways of dealing with dreams. The speaker demonstrates this work using two exciting dreams of seminar participants.

“Here we make a map for the psyche, but the map is not the territory. The map is not the psyche itself.”

A seminar that will touch you and make you think and give you completely new perspectives and insights – for your daily homeopathic practice!
